Bait and Switch Scam
A bait and switch scam in the crypto space involves luring investors with a seemingly good offer or opportunity, only to switch the terms or conditions after the investor has committed. For example, a crypto project may promote a token pre-sale with attractive discounts, only for investors to find that they can’t claim the tokens or that the project is fake. These scams prey on FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) and often use deceptive marketing tactics to mislead investors. It's essential to verify projects thoroughly to avoid these scams.
