Atomic Swap

By: WEEX|2024/10/11 10:35:36

An atomic swap is a decentralized method of exchanging one cryptocurrency for another across different blockchain networks without needing an intermediary, like an exchange. It uses smart contracts to ensure the transaction is either completed in full or not at all, hence the term "atomic." This technology allows for peer-to-peer trading between different cryptocurrencies directly from personal wallets. Atomic swaps can be executed both on-chain and off-chain, depending on the blockchain networks involved.
