Ghana is set to introduce a cryptocurrency regulation bill by the end of the year

BlockBeats News, October 26th, Bank of Ghana Governor Johnson Asiama stated at an IMF meeting that the country will introduce a cryptocurrency regulation bill by the end of the year. Asiama said: "The bill has been submitted to Parliament, and we hope to complete the legislation by the end of December to enable Ghana to officially regulate cryptocurrency."
The Bank of Ghana had already released a draft as early as August 2024, and currently about 3 million people (about 9% of the national population) are using cryptocurrency. (Cointelegraph)
